The American beaver is North Americas largest rodent and is ideally suited for its aquatic lifestyle. As a rodent (Latin for to gnaw), a beaver must gnaw to wear down its front teeth, which never stop growing. Beavers do not eat fish or other aquatic animals, but love willow and aspen bark as well as the roots of pond lilies. Beaver dams are made of tree trunks, branches, sticks, and mud, reaching 6 - 8 feet tall and 1/4 mile long.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 1200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
